Frequently Asked Question
Using the HDMI adapter disables the Audio port on the laptop.
Last Updated 3 years ago
HDMI transfers both video and audio. When using the VGA-to-HDMI adapter, the audio is dropped because VGA supports only video. There are multiple solutions to fix this issue:
- Short Term: Go into the Audio settings and make changes to let audio go out the Audio port instead of the HDMI port. [Mike can we get verification on this step?]
- Long Term: Implementing HDMI cords on all the compatible projectors, so that both audio and video can be transferred via HDMI cord.
- Long Long Term: All of the Epson PowerLite 400 EMP, 410W, and 450W will need replacing to support the HDMI standard. HDMI cords will also need installing.
